Who we are, and how we check

Sources named on every number. Corrections logged, not quietly fixed.

01 · How we teach

Name the number, show the source, set a task.

  1. Every figure on this site carries the document it came from and the date we checked it. Where a number is your own, we ask for it instead of inventing an average.
  2. We teach the rules that already bind providers, because a merchant who quotes PS22/2 in a renewal call is in a different conversation than one who does not.
  3. Each lesson ends with something you can finish before opening time. Reading is not the point, the statement in your hand is.
02 · What we sell

The course is free. The work on your statement is not.

Three paid services sit next to the free course: a fee audit where we take your last three statements apart line by line, help choosing a terminal and contract at renewal, and a short training session for staff on card handling and chargeback evidence.

What we are not

Not a comparison site paid by placement, not a regulated adviser, and not a party to your contract. A pricing decision is one to take with an adviser who knows your business.

How we check

Three rules every page on this site follows

  1. A number appears only with the document it came from and the date we read it.
  2. Worked examples are labelled as examples, and illustrative cases are labelled as invented.
  3. When a rule changes, the page changes and the date moves. When we are wrong, the correction goes in the log above rather than disappearing into an edit.

16 Sep 2026The terminal Said the PSR’s 18-month limit did not cover a terminal lease. It does: PS22/2 caps POS terminal lease and rental terms, with one exception for terminals from an unconnected third party.
